Design of Structural Systems

By Prof. T. Jothi Saravanan   |   IIT Bhubaneshwar
Learners enrolled: 1310   |  Exam registration: 172
ABOUT THE COURSE:

This course covers the fundamentals of load analysis, material selection, and the creation of detailed drawings and specifications for various structural components. Emphasizing both theoretical principles and practical applications, it prepares learners to create precise, effective designs that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. The design of structural systems is crucial for ensuring safety, as it guarantees that buildings can withstand loads and stresses. Efficient designs enhance sustainability by optimizing material usage and reducing waste. A well-conceived structure provides durability, minimizing the need for costly repairs and maintenance. Ideal for civil engineering students and professionals, the course bridges the gap between conceptual design and actual construction practices, equipping participants with essential skills for the construction industry.
