ABOUT THE COURSE:

This course is aimed to be a short course on the Indian Constitution in Telugu. This course is designed for disseminating constitutional law knowledge with Telugu as the medium of instruction. In order to reach a wider audience, this course will be offered through online mode. This course focuses on providing a theoretical footing as well as practical insights into the working of the Indian Constitution. In order to keep the participants engaged, this course has many formats like walk the talk, panel discussions, interviews and case study. This course highlights the contributions of the Bar and the Bench. A brief drafting history is also highlighted for the candidates to better appreciate the Indian Constitution.

Instructor bio

Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao

NALSAR University of Law
Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao is a legal academic passionate about teaching, research and advocacy in criminal law and access to justice. Prof. Rao is currently Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR Hyderabad since November, 2022. He worked as Vice-Chancellor of NLU Delhi from 2020 - 2022 and Vice-Chancellor of NLU Odisha from 2014 – 2020.

Prof. Rao was a Fulbright Nehru Alumni. He had the distinction of working with five prestigious law universities in India for the past three decades: National Law School, Bangalore; NALSAR, Hyderabad; Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar; NLU Odisha and NLU Delhi.

He was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Washington, Seattle and School of Oriental & African Studies, SOAS, London. Prof. Rao received - "Kumarappa - Reckless Award" for his outstanding contribution in criminal justice education in India by the Indian Society of Criminology (ISC), in 2020. Prof. Rao was member of the Indian delegation that presented the Universal Periodic Report (UPR) of Human Rights at the U.N. Human Rights Council at Geneva in November 2022.


Prof. N. Vasanthi

Prof. N. Vasanthi Nimushakavi Vasanthi is a Professor of Constitutional Law and has been instrumental in designing and teaching courses in constitutional law at the undergraduate and post graduate level. A graduate from Osmania University she has been at the University since 2000. She teaches courses in the area of constitutional law and labour law. Her recent work has been in areas at the intersection of labour, gender and rights.

Course certificate

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: November 02, 2025 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 3 assignments out of the total 4 assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

Please note that assignments encompass all types (including quizzes, programming tasks, and essay submissions) available in the specific week.

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup.It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Madras .It will be e-verifiable at nptel.ac.in/noc.

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
