ABOUT THE COURSE:
Under the ‘Make in India’ program different companies and PSU want to be market competitive. To do that they require appropriate organization structure which may secure trust of partner organization and effectively absorb the technology. The new organization (i.e. JV) will also provide for better revenue model. To execute JV, one needs understanding of compliance and nuances of incorporating a company. This course will prepare the candidate to that end.

Instructor bio

Prof. Indrajit Dube

IIT Kharagpur
Prof. Indrajit Dube, with over two decades of experience, is a distinguished figure in the fields of corporate law and governance. He has imparted his knowledge at various law and management schools across India and internationally. Currently, he serves as the founding Vice Chancellor of National Law University Meghalaya, and Professor (on lien) at Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur.

His academic contributions are extensive, with numerous publications in esteemed journals. His research primarily focuses on diverse areas such as directors' liability, integrated reporting, corporate social responsibility, environmental governance, and the intersection of AI with corporate governance. Prof. Dube is also a celebrated author, with his books being referenced by various national and international institutions.

Prof. Dube's leadership extends to overseeing significant projects funded by both national and international agencies. These include contributing to the institutional framework of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in New Delhi and the National Mission Project on Ganga River Basin Management. Additionally, he has provided consultancy services to a wide range of entities, including regulatory bodies, business houses, and organizations. His expertise in designing online course modules for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, further highlights his versatility.

Globally recognized for his expertise, Prof. Dube has been invited to participate in consultations, deliver special lectures, and engage in expert talks at various forums and institutions. His international acclaim is also evidenced by his roles as a visiting faculty member at renowned universities in Canada, Australia, and other jurisdictions.

Course certificate

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: March 23, 2025 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 3 assignments out of the total 4 assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

Please note that assignments encompass all types (including quizzes, programming tasks, and essay submissions) available in the specific week.

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup.It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur .It will be e-verifiable at nptel.ac.in/noc.

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
