ABOUT THE COURSE:
This course is aimed at introducing analog circuits from the perspective of designing amplifiers in an integrated circuit using MOS transistors. The students will be introduced to the techniques required for designing amplifiers using negative feedback as the guiding principle. Small signal characteristics of widely used amplifier topologies will be discussed and their limitations analysed. The learning objective of the course is to make the students proficient in the synthesis basic amplifier topologies so that one can develop an intuition to design circuits based on specific requirements in their career.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: 3rd 4th year UGs or first year PGs
PREREQUISITES: Suitable for 3rd year B.Tech and 1st year M.Tech/MS/Ph.D students. Expected knowledge of: Network theory, Laplace transform, Sinusoidal state analysis
INDUSTRY SUPPORT: Semiconductor circuit design companies like, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Maxlinear, Samsung, Aura Semiconductor, Silicon Labs and many more
