ABOUT THE COURSE:
This course intends to create awareness & impact knowledge regarding common Childhood diseases in India. A great number of child death and sufferings can be prevented by timely diagnosis and management. Starting from the clinic-biochemical aspect, diagnosis, management and existing relevant National health programmshas been elaborated for better understanding of our intended audience regarding health-care seeking options.Healthy Child will build a healthy nation. This holistic approach in this course will increase awareness and bring down mortality & morbidity from common Childhood diseases in India.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Medical (both UG and PG), MBBS students preparing from NEET PG, Post-PG students preparing for NEET SS and FNB Super-specialization, Nursing (both UG and PG), Community Health Workers, Paramedical, Health and allied Sciences, Social Welfare and NGOs working on Child Health

PREREQUISITES: Background knowledge of-- Medical (both UG and PG), Nursing (both UG and PG), Paramedical, Health and allied Sciences

Prof. Soumi Kundu

IIT Kharagpur
Prof. Soumi Kundu has done her MBBS, MD Paediatrics [RGKar Medical College &Hospital, Kolkata]. Has published research articles in NMC indexed peer-reviewed journals; resource person, Presented papers in national and international conferences. She is a Master trainer of NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). Ex-In charge of WHO vaccine preventanle disease Surveillance at KPCMedical College &Hospital, Kolkata.


Prof. Nabarun Karmakar

Prof. Nabarun Karmakar has done his MBBS [Burdwan Medical College &Hospital, Burdwan], MD Community Medicine (All India Institute of Hygiene &Public Health, Kolkata). He has published 41 research articles, contributed 2 book chapters and reviewer of journals. Resource person, presented papers in national and international conferences and worked in granted projects; core research area in NCD, MCH,Medical Education.He had been an Internal Examiner and has been acting as an External Examiner in the 3rd Professional MBBS Part-I Examination under different Health universities [Medical].


Prof. Parama Banerjee

Prof. Parama Banerjee has done her MBBS (IPGME&R, Kolkata), MD Biochemistry (M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore), Senior Residency from AIIMS Jodhpur and Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. She has Worked as a faculty in Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhiand Consultant Biochemist in reputed corporate hospitals.She has presented papers in many National and International conferences.Has published research articles in peer - reviewed indexed national and international journals; resource person.

Course certificate

The course is free to enroll and learn from. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam conducted by us in person at any of the designated exam centres.
The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only).
Date and Time of Exams: 
02 November 2024 Morning session 9am to 12 noon; Afternoon Session 2pm to 5pm.
Registration url: Announcements will be made when the registration form is open for registrations.
The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published. If there are any changes, it will be mentioned then.
Please check the form for more details on the cities where the exams will be held, the conditions you agree to when you fill the form etc.

CRITERIA TO GET A CERTIFICATE

Average assignment score = 25% of average of best 8 assignments out of the total 12 assignments given in the course.
Exam score = 75% of the proctored certification exam score out of 100

Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score

YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A CERTIFICATE ONLY IF AVERAGE ASSIGNMENT SCORE >=10/25 AND EXAM SCORE >= 30/75. If one of the 2 criteria is not met, you will not get the certificate even if the Final score >= 40/100.

Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup.It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur .It will be e-verifiable at nptel.ac.in/noc.

Only the e-certificate will be made available. Hard copies will not be dispatched.
