This course
offers an in-depth exploration of various formation evaluation tools such as
Mud-Logs and Cuttings, Gamma Ray, Resistivity, Porosity, and other logs.
Participants will gain comprehensive insights into open-hole log interpretation
methods, enabling them to evaluate formation rock and fluid type, porosity,
reservoir thickness, water and hydrocarbon (oil & gas) saturation.
The course
includes practical demonstrations using industry standard software, allowing
attendees to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. Case studies will
be discussed to provide practical context and enhance understanding. By the end
of the course, participants will be equipped to accurately determine the volume
of hydrocarbons in the reservoir and assess its potential to flow through the
rock into the wellbore.
