IMAD, India's largest MOOC, is back and it's bigger and better than before. This course will cover the basics of the Internet, building a web application, databases, performance and security, and building a mobile application. In addition, the course will have an extensive set of Practical Tutorials which will help students get a feel for real-world development. IMAD offers opportunities for internships at Hasura for the course toppers, thus helping the best students hone their application development skills in the real world.

PREREQUISITES:You'll need to learn the basics of computer programming. If you are new to programming, then the resources below are adequate background for this course. They can also be used to brush up your skills, if you have learnt programming a while ago.
Dr Gaurav Rainais a faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras. His interests span from performance modelling of large scale systems like the Internet and transportation networks, to financial technologies.
Tanmai Gopalis the CTO & co-founder of Hasura, a core-tech startup. He is also a technology advisor to several early stage startups and is a passionate advocate for real-world programming education. He comes from a computer vision background with a Bachelors and a Masters in Computer Science from IIT Madras.
The course content will be covered in 8 weeks. Each week of theoretical lectures will be followed by a practical, hands-on tutorial covering the concepts discussed in the previous week. These lectures will consist of programming experiments and assignments which will help the student gain a practical understanding of the ideas discussed before. Date and Time of Exams: April 28 (Saturday) and April 29 (Sunday) : Morning session 9am to 12 noon;
Exam for this course will be available in one session on both 28 and 29 April.

The online registration form has to be filled and the certification exam fee needs to be paid. More details will be made available when the exam registration form is published.
Final score will be calculated as : 25% assignment score + 75% final exam score
25% assignment score is calculated as 25% of average of Best 6 out of 8 assignments.
E-Certificate will be given to those who register and write the exam and score greater than or equal to 40% final score. Certificate will have your name, photograph and the score in the final exam with the breakup. It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Madras. It will be e-verifiable at nptel.ac.in/noc.
